Promoting the Benefits of End-Use Electrification in New Mexico!
As New Mexico continues to transition to a clean energy economy, opportunities for advancing beneficial electrification through the adoption of renewable generation and expanding integration of energy-efficient technologies are gaining interest among various stakeholders. In a recent report, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) outlined four opportunities for advancing beneficial electrification:
Advancement and adoption of cross-cutting beneficial electrification technologies (energy-efficient equipment and devices, specialized materials production, intermittent fuel switching, etc.)
Non-energy benefits (energy efficiency and waste minimization)
RD&D focusing on electrification in industrial clusters
Acceleration and scaled adoption of technology innovation
